Genestealers / Alien conversion

Continuing Tyranid November I present you my fellow genestealers.

My favourites- the Genestealers- Simply for the reason that they prevail in closecombat nomather what you throw at them. For better reckognization of units during games I have them equipped differently with heads and scything talons. Later on I went one step further and gave them distincive color markings.

The Alienstealers were of course inspired by the cultmovie alien(s) and normaly form the bodyguard of my broodlord but since I rarely ever field him they often end up in the troops section. They were converted from oldschool genestealers from the 90s. I used greenstuff for the head and extended their tails with wire covered in greenstuff.

Oh, neat. I'm most of the way through painting some Space Hulk Genestealers for a friend... and my knee-jerk reaction on seeing yours was to calculate how much time I'd lose converting them over to this instead. Not going to happen on this batch, but I'll be remembering this for later.

Simple and effective. Kudos!
They look good. I've always wanted to this conversion but never had a justified reason to buy a box of 'stealers to it.

Good work.

WOW bro those alienstealers are dynamite! Serious absolute dynamite. Cooler than phil kelly's starship trooper bugs!

Thank you for your feedback. Looking back at my conversion now though shows me some flaws- even not cleaned minis!
I will build another batch some day. Expect the broodlord to be the next update.

@Dverning: Do not convert after painting! Another time will come where you can do this. Supposely in January when your friend buys more ;)

@Trsitan: I do not know those Starshiptroopers bugs. Where can I find them?

There's pics of them in the Space Hulk edition of WD. In their ROK 40k campaign. They don't say anything about starship troopers but looking at the painted models it's obvious that's what he was going for.
