As I do not own Dreadnought arms with autocannons but wanted to field them, I needed a solution. An affordable solution- say without Forgeworld stamp on it. At first I thought about using Cadian weapon teams or Aegis defense line systems but all of them had one flaw...a lot of work and still not half cheap.
The solution presented itself when a friend hinted me towards the gun barrels offered by a company named
Oldcrow models. They offer high quality tin barrels for a very fair price and shipping is reasonable as well.
The rest is constructing my own shoulder pads and cast them. My design of the prototype lets me use it for both arms and also for all sort of weapons although it is primarily meant for autocannons. It has no ammodrums or such things which would need to be added later on but this also gives me the possibility to create convincing variations by adding powercells, ammodrums or additional armor.
