Eldar mech army

Since I started building Warlock Jetbikes my mid went into designing armyrosters as well. This is what I came up with. Not too many models, so I could possibly keep up the motivation to paint them. It's fully mobile and not verry innovative- but it could work.

What do you think?

For my thoughts...
1. A Farseer has BS 5. Why not get a Spear on him?
2. I prefer 3-4 Destructors. It hurts your wound striping for the unit, but gives you better effect.
3. Serpent of Fury DA looks decent in principle, but just doesn't deliver in a competitive environment. This is doubly true when you don't have Doom around. I'd drop them down to 5-man and put them in the Falcons. Alternatively, consider swapping one squad to Fire Storm Guardians (2 Flamers and Destructor Warlock in Serpent) as they're cheaper.
4. Serpents are more reliable than Falcons when in melta range or when moving fast. (I can link the math if you want...) I'd put your Dragons in Serpents, which means you could take more of them.
5. Putting Scatter Lasers on those Falcons is cheap and gives them the ability to still fire to full effect at 36". Also, do you REALLY need Star Engines for a tank that can move 24" anyways?

That's my main thoughts. Cheers and hope this helps.

nice feedback- thx. I am thinking bout the math right now. Maybe all mech isn't the way to go. Alternative would be foot slogging wraithlord and avatar combo...

Honestly, with a Seer Council, all-mech is about what you get. Any way you run the council, you're putting a lot of emphasis on it doing damage, since the thing IS over 600 points of your army.

I'm a bit surprised that there's no Doom on the Seer. Fortune's pretty much required for them. You do save about 50 points without Doom.

I'm also surprised there's only two Destructors in there. that's your hefty anti-horde firepower; and your ability to overwhelm folks with wounds if they have decent saves.

Fire Dragons good as they are. If anything, you might be able to drop one for points. still, you get versatility with the flamers.

For the Falcons, I think you can safely ditch the Star Engines. If you're willing to cut down the DA squads into just 5-man scoring squads, you can slap them into the Falcons and use those as gun platforms with Scatter Lasers.

The other reason I mention this switch? Against melta-heavy lists, you're more likely to want the energy field, as massed meltas are more likely to overwhelm Holo-fields than they are energy fields after the turbo-boost cover saves.

Additionally, if it's not a Fire Dragon, you really have no anti-tank besides the Seer Council and some BS3 Pulse Lasers.

I'd suggest cutting the Exarchs out to free up a chunk of points off the bat. If you're going to keep the Avengers in the Serpents, cut the Exarchs (Bladestorm is 'eh' ish anyway) and get some Lances atop the things. Get a little more anti-tank threat.

Then again, being short on points after a Seer Council IS kind of par for the course.

@Raptor1313: Thx for the creative input. I see the point in using Serpents over Falcons now and am considering it. More Destructors will find their way in aswell. The Dire Avengers will be cut down if they can't kill on their own.

Since the Seer council is the center of my army it will be dishing out woundign most anything on 2s anyway- so they do not benefit form rerolls to wound so much. Doom requires another unit in my army which can dish out and needs help with wounding- wonder who that might be since my Tanks have all S6 or more and wound most targets on 2+ also. I think with my seers and Firedragons I'm fine with antitank- maybe fireprisms instead of falcons can help.

@gg: These lists have given me some ideas- but I will not invest in more Guardian jetbikes. Two seer councils are alos out of scope- I simply can't see myself massproducing these kind of models.
Fireprisms though might be an alternative to add Firepower on long range.
